How Much is Improper Internet Usage Costing Your Business?

Online GamblingAccording to a recent Gallup poll, the average employee spends over 75 minutes per day using office computers for non-business related activities. Disaster Recovery Planning

Disaster Recovery PlanMost businesses do not have a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP); and the ones that do, do not periodically update it or verify its accuracy, leading to an outdated and ineffective plan. This is a sad but true fact. Most businesses do not have a DRP plan because they either don’t see the benefit of having one or do not want to spend the time or energy to put one together.

In its simplest form a DRP is a document outlining all the necessary steps for a business to recover its data and operations in case of a disaster. The word ‘disaster’ here is an industry term, which in fact can also mean much smaller scale incidents, such as data loss, equipment theft, server malfunction, malicious activities etc. At a very minimum, a DRP contains important information and key resources that any company needs following a disaster. This includes, but is not limited to: insurance policies, emergency contacts for employees, vendor and customer contact information, offsite data backup, backup site/office, cash and similar payment arrangements. iPad with Retina DisplaySo now that the newest iPad (officially called “iPad with Retina”) has been out for a while a lot of people are wondering if they should upgrade?

Based on features, the new iPad with Retina (also referred to as iPad 4) has 4 major advantages over the previous iPad: the front-facing camera, iOS 6, the A6X processor, and the connectivity port.

Sphinx Technology Solutions is proud to announce the launch of our new website that is designed to look great on any type of display.  The new SPXTech.com was built using Responsive Design. Responsive Design allows the site to recognize the size of the display and adjust the layout to best fit that device.  With our old design, the full-size site that was designed to fit a desktop monitor was shrunken down to fit the small display of your smartphone; this made the site impossible to read without zooming in on the individual sections you were interested in.  When viewing our new website on a mobile device, the text is legible and the images adjust to fit the width of the screen providing a much more pleasurable viewing experience.
